The Jaun region is still completely unknown to most bikers. Although the region offers many interesting single trails and varied routes, it is still underdeveloped and most of the routes are real insider tips.

Newly qualified local bike guide Resu Schuwey tells us all about his favourite route.

His favourite route takes Resu towards the Chalet du Soldat. He finds the first uphill section very entertaining and quickly pedals a good number of metres in altitude. The second part on the Karrweg offers a wonderful view of the Gastlosen. Once at the top, the view is breathtaking and the Chalet du Soldat invites you to linger before returning.

On the descent on the Karrweg, be careful of hikers on the way. For the second part, the route down via Wiistona is recommended. Despite the technical challenges, this section is a real pleasure. On the ascent, it is possible to reduce the metres in altitude by taking the Gastlosen Express up and then traversing.

And always be careful, there are hikers everywhere and we want to enjoy the beautiful mountain world together and not against each other. Respect on both sides!
